Peer Group Support

STOKE-ON-TRENT

MACCAS Zone  

MACCAS Zone is a confidential informal drop-in service supporting young people aged between 14- 18. The group provides peer support, therapeutic activities, informal support as well as a place to chat and 1-2-1 wellbeing sessions.

Changes YP

Changes offer a range of different groups that young people can attend. Their weekly support groups are for young people aged between 8 and 18 years old. This gives young people a chance to be in contact with other young people who may be facing similar challenges. Some young people like to share self- help tips and offer each other support. The group is run by qualified staff and you can join the groups whenever you need too.

Monday – 3:00pm- 4:00pm (for ages 8 to 11 years old)

Tuesday – 5:00pm- 6:00pm (for ages 14 to 18 years old)

Wednesday – 4:30pm- 5:30pm (For ages 11 to 15 years old)

6:00pm- 7:00pm (16 plus)

 

Thursday – 4.45pm- 5:45pm (For ages 13 to 17 years old)

                     7:00pm- 8:00pm (For ages 13 to 17 years old)

 

Friday- 4:30pm- 5:30pm (For ages 8 to 11 years old)

  

Support for 5 to 7-year olds

Staywell’s new digital offer will include staff providing regular 1-2-1 support to parents of 5 to 7 year olds via the telephone or video link.

RISE (Resilience, Identity and Self-esteem)

This programme provides longer term individual support and mentoring for vulnerable young people ages between 11 and 17 years old with multiple barriers and risk factors. They aim to help young people feel valued and respected. RISE try to accommodate a time that works for you, they want to help you develop skills and qualities to have the best start in life as possible.

STAFFORDSHIRE

Action for children

Action for children offer support for young people who live in Staffordshire. They are currently working digitally which means some of their services can’t run. Action for children offer 1:1 support groups and psychological intervention groups. They offer support for young people aged between 5 and 18 years. Their support extends for young people aged up to 24 years if there is an educational or health plan in place.

NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE & LEEK

Viyson

Viyson supports young people in Cheshire and Leek and offers many different forms of support including, counselling, wellbeing groups, mentoring and advocacy support. The well-being groups change each week, to stay up to date please follow this link https://www.visyon.org.uk/groups. Young people are able to swap and change between each form of support that Viyson offer, to see what works best for them.

YESS are currently offering telephone emotional wellbeing support sessions for young people and parents. The support sessions run every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
